Noobish 02 sensor replacement question
Questions is...Since I have 02 simulators on the back would I be able to use the old 02 sensors that I saved to replace the front ones? And if I do replace them and they go bad since they cleared my check engine code how will I know that the new ones went bad?
-need to know what o2 code you threw, insufficient switching or low heater voltage. Insufficient switching will warrant sensor replacement, but heater codes aren't as detrimental.
-don't ever listen to any monkey working at autozone.....97% of them don't know their *** from a hole in the ground.

Oftentimes low heat voltage is a precursor to additional air getting into the exhaust stream, eg. exhaust leak. Check your flange bolts for tightness (24ftlbs, if memory serves) and if EGR-equipped, ensure your valve gaskets are still good. Usually three drive cycles of 20 mins or more will be sufficient to recycle the codes. Let us know which codes your'e throwing, that'll help in diagnosing the problem.
