Replaced thermostat
Replaced thermostat The other day driving i saw my temp gage going to border line in the red. I turned of the ac and put it on heat.(its in the 90 here in orlando) Damm it hot. And there is a gergling sound from the engine and the fan is runing alot.
I got to my moms house 90 mile from were i started. I asked a few friends and said sounds like the thermostat. Just what i was thinging too.
I go get a new one from discount auto parts and som new dex a cool. I change the part and the coolint and now stays at 200 or less at night.
And now she takes off like a bat out of hell.
It was way easy and at ease thats what it was.

I did stop at a mcdonalds half way to my moms too let it cool down.
I drained all the coolant and replaced it with the prestone quick fill dex-cool from wal-mart. The 50/50 prediluted coolant. It took 1 and a half gallons.
It sucked driving with the heat on in the middle of the day when it was 95 degress driving from orlando to palm coast.
And wow she is back too her old get out of my way self.
