Default Optima Red Top Battery

what are your thoughs on it? i have one in the hawk...yesterday someone backed into my moms 350z...i would let her drive my old truck (just got a new one/havent sold the old one yet) but it is torn apart bc im takin out the system to sell to a friend...seats are out and everything....so im 100 miles away in college, i cant drive her to work, my dad has to drive to work so the only thing left is the hawk....so yesterday my dad started it up and ran it for 30 minutes (it usually just sits in the garage, hasnt been started in a month prior)...ran fine...this morning it wouldnt start...nothing was left on, door was closed, lights off, interior and exterior....whats up? also batter is only 6 months old...

Sounds strange. Are you getting any juice at all? Or is it completely dead? I have a 3-year old optima red and sometimes my car goes up to 4-months with out starting, and then it starts right away, no problem. If it started the day before fine and now is completely dead you might have a defective battery and you need to exchange it ASAP. If you have some juice then it could be something else.

If it's like your mom said, completely dead, then you got a defective battery. Have it replaced under warrenty. Do it now while the battery is only 6-months old.

Dang! When did Autozone sell Optimas? I wish I would have known that 3 weeks ago before I bought my Yellow top from Advanced. I love Autozone's lifetime warranty on things. The lifetime warranty does include the batteries right?
