cadilytic converters Took them off today and beat them hollow them bolted them back on. This was extremly easy and sounds a hell of alot better no codes or anything .Took me about 1 hour to do both of them..

you didnt put them back on, connect them, and run them with the rest of the system.....even though you beat them silly alot of that little honey comb type crap is still in there and will get all up in your exhaust...ie muffler....its good to have the Y pipe open after you put them back on and run them for a bit, youd notice crap coming out.....because the exhaust gas will put alot more pressure on those then you will

After an OBD drive cycle or two, you'll get a code & SES light. No question.
They do sound better with gutted cats though. I've tested about a dozen different exhaust configurations on LS1 cars, and I've learned that unlike an ORY, gutted stock cats won't rasp.

You will eventually get an SES light. Once the parameters are met for the PCM to run enough DTC tests, it will detect low catalytist efficiency on both banks and trip a few codes for you. Just give it some time, I promise, as I've done this before. 
You can get some rear O2 sims to fool the PCM though, then no more SES light.

No way man I gutted them completly they are very clean. I never do anything half *** took my time and there wasnt anything left in them at all. So far no ses lights and seems to run better , never the less I like the way it sounds. Had a few mustangs I did this to and never had any code issues. And there is no way my can can put more pressure on them than I did. I used a hammer huge scraper and a few chizels. Hell they are cleaner on the inside than they are on the outside..
ok thats good....ive just seen people who beat them and then hook them back up and wonder why there car runs like ***, gets no gas mileage, and there mufflers going out.......when you purge them, its really the heat issue later on...it just seems to break up more crap in them....thats why whenever i did it for people, id leave the Y open for a few minutes...but sounds like you know what your doing....good job
