Default Codes P0135 and P0155

I'm getting codes P0135 and P0155. I have longtubes, but I thought I planned for everything by getting the bosch rear vette sensors. I've search but there seems to be alot of mixed information. Can I ignore these or am I running rich and washing my cylinder walls?

thanks scott

your car running rich wont result in a high idle....it sounds to me like you have intake/exhaust leak issue...which would cause high idle and a running rich mode....do you have efi live or hptuners accessibility?

Car was tuned with hp tuners by ttp. nothing has changed since then... Another thread suggested that 02 sensor malfunctions could cause the iac to act up. And the high idle only happens on rare occasions since the car started throwing the codes a few days ago. If I had a leak wouldn't it happen all the time?

hmm im at a loss unless it is the o2s or a exhaust leak....these are the only reasons i can think of for the richness and idle....do you have any numbers on the fuel trends?....what each bank is runnning?

My bad, I'm not saying I know I'm running rich. I'm just worried its a possibility because of the malfunctioning or slow O2. Basically I want to know if ignoring these codes can harm my engine.

thanks

well if you cant actually find out how much its running rich, that will give you an idea....usually when the computer finds a problem with the fuel/air ratio itll throw it into a type of safe mode....run about -2% which is slightly rich, if its running in that area it wont hurt your rings or cylinders...i had a nasty leak of unmetered air before the front o2s one time from the egr valve....i was running -14% ran like total *** but the computer would throw the code and after a while would push it back to -2% or around that area...if you can get it back on the computer and find out what your fuel ratio is running thatll give you a hint of if your really washing those walls down

I'm sure its your O2 sensors. I've had the same codes for mine several times....O2 sensors were bad. Mine have been like this for about 2 years now.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've only had them for about three months. Is this going to keep happening?

Mine SES light went on right after my SLP LT's were installed. We cleared the codes, put O2 Simms on and a few months later the SES light came back on. When I had it inspected for emissions it threw those same codes again and failed. We found out my front 02 sensors went and was causing it this time. The car doesnt need to have emissions now and the bad 02 sensors are still on . This summer the cats hollowed themselves out . At any rate my light has been on now for 2.5 yrs.
