Yes, but the best way to change the oil on an easy setup like this, is to fill the oil filter before installing it.

Fill it, let it sit and soak up the oil, top it off then install. The less time your engine is running dry, the better.

Also, these cars will take 6 qts with NO issue what so ever. Some road racers actually run the stock pan with 7qts. Due to higher Gs in the corners and oil sloshing from side to side in the pan.

I always run 6, and recommend that everyone else does as well.

Exactly. But with the crap oil and filter that was in the car when I bought it, it actually did idle around 20 psi. Now it idles at 30-35psi.
