Hmm...my first thought is you have a double gasket thing going on, original filter one stuck on the housing - then another on the new filter?

well the housing for the oil filter is clean when i put the filters on. so i dont know.

the filter itself has the drip coming off of it. not the bellhousing. the slave cyl bolt has some oil on it from the blow by from the filter.

yesterday i put a new filter on and had the surface clean and smooth. i put it on and tightened it 3/4 to a full turn so it wouldnt tighten anymore.

ttt...

it didnt leak until 5-8 hours after i changed it.

could it be the oil filter housing gasket? theres no leaks from the lines going to it though.
