Default I broke something

I was pulling out my starter and broke the outer bolt off in the hole. I drilled it and attempted to use a tool to reverse thread tool to pull out the broken part of the bolt out of the hole.

I threaded the tool into the hole and I aparently turned too hard and cracked all the way up the starter mount!

Now I am freaking out because this piece is cast as part of the engine and I cant bolt on my starter.

Has anyone else had this situation? Any direction would be appreciated...

ewww...thats rough...if its actually cast as a part of your engine there not MUCH you can do....you might want to get hold of someone at the dealership or a good mechanic who could guide you in the right direction...i myself can think of much for a alumn. block....

While I worked at a local Chevy dealer we had a someone bring in a truck with the same issue. You have 3 options, get someone to alumn. weld it,
