Spark plug wire pulled apart - is it still ok???
While changing my plugs out I accidentally pulled apart the #8 plug wire in an effort to get it off of the plug. Man that thing is a PITA. I have a 98 Z. I removed the coil packs and AIR pipe and I still haven't gotten the dang plug out. I am going to try a 1" extension followed by a swivel extension and then a long extension (approx. 10") connected to a rachet. Hope that works.
I guess I have 2 questions-
1) Is the cable still ok to use if I put the boot back on the cable?
2) Any recommendations on what combo of tools to use to get the #8 plug out?
THANKS

The wire came completely apart? If so its probably not usable IMO. as for that damn 8th plug, I get mine from underneath using basic tools and extentions. Try a search on here, Ive seen a tool thats specially made to get the plugs out of our LS1's
