braking noises

I have had the issue since i bought the car and now i really cant take it any more. When ever i am driving down the road i can here that there is a squeak comming from the left rear wheel. I would say it happens with every roation of the wheel. When i step on the breaks lightly its BAD it squeaks and almost makes a knock noise. When i get on the breaks hard its not so bad. any ideas?

Stock Brakes??

I would wager your brakes are dead, but I am not there to diag.

i did the pads like 5000 miles ago front and read
its an 02 with 59k

Put the rear in the air, block the front tires and put the car in drive, see if having the suspension loaded makes the noise. I fear it may be the differential, its something when the brake is applied it changes the noise and its rotational. At first it could have been noise where you can put some dialetric grease on it and quiet it down.

Well i was out driving around after i posted on here. I went over to advance auto and bought a new caliper. so if that doesent fix it then ill continue to do more work. Any more ideas ?

yeah well i bought a new caliper im gonna build that up bright and early. Slap that on there and see what happens. If that doesent work i will be back here again

here is the update. It was a broken spring clip in the caliper. I dont know how i missed it before. A whole side of it was gone. Well its all fixed now. Thanks for the help
