Default Anyone have issues with Prothane mounts?

I replaced my transmission mount tonight with a Prothane mount. I had replaced my factory one with a new factory one about a month or so ago and was still having all sorts of issue with thumping under the car under hard *****.

Well the Prothane took care of that, but now I have some nice noise and vibration. Has anyone found a way to quell the noise any? I was thinking some 1/4" rubber on both side of the mounting surfaces might help it some.

I had read on LS1Tech that some peeps had encountered some Knock Retard running mounts like these due to the ECM picking up the extra vibrations.

Anyone else have any ideas.

I remember when i first installed my prothane tranny mount. At first the vibration was loud in 3 rd gear and in regular drive (D) it vibrated after 120. About a month or two later the vibration are hardly noticable from when they were extremly noticable. I wouldn't do nothing, i didn't and with in time the prothane settles in. And imo, they are very well needed. Before the prothane i broke two factory tranny mounts. If you can, replace the torque arm rubber mounts with prothane too, and you will be happy you did, car reacts a lot better with prothane mounts on the torque arm too.

I have the one for the torque arm mount, just need some time to remove the y-pipe in order to put it on.

I hope it breaks in, I dont mind some extra noise per say, but this is a little on the extreme side of things.

I had a Prothane trans mount and the noise and vibration was very bad so I instaled washers on the crossmember to lower the trans somewhat which then cracked the mount. I then installed a Energy Suspension mount and it was about half as bad. When I had a new clutch installed 18 months ago I got another stock mount but now I think it's torn since I get clunking upshifting and downshifting just as I did when the original mount tore.

You might need new engine mounts.
