Default Idle Surge When Heater Is On.....?

Like the title says, I have this weird problem where my idle surges from normal idle (900 or so) up to about 1200 then back down in 2-3 second loops for awhile after I first turn my heater on in the morning.

Eventually it does stop, though.

I find it funky though, because, I mean, how exactly is the heater connected to anything that could affect the idle? That heater valve, maybe?

Also, I didn't do anything to the car before it happened, it just kinda started...

It's not a huge problem, but if you guys can help me out I'd really appreciate it!

Your electronics in the heater automatically switch on your A/C and cycle it. It seems as though it is every minute or 2. It prevents the a/c system from sitting for too long without being used.

So it should be about the same as if you turned the a/c on while the car was idling.

Hope this helps.
