Default proper way to bleed (get air) out of cooling system?

I filled up my radiatior yesterday and noticed bubbles staring to come up to the radiator fill neck. I turned the heater on and opened the cap waited 10 minutes untill the water reached up top to the radiator, untill it almost starting to overspill, I shut the car off and put the cap back on. Is this the right way to do it?

There are no **** valves on the ls-1 so that should do it. Id try it a couple more times making sure to let the tstat open during it and you should be good.

What worked really well on my Supra (haven't changed coolant on the camaro yet) is to park the car facing uphill, or on some ramps.

It can take up to 100 miles of normal driving to get all the air out of a system.

You can rev the motor some while you're watching the filler (when it's cold). Watch the bubbles come out and keep filling it as required.

Over the next week or so, keep an eye on it, keep the overflow bottle filled, and keep at it until it normalizes.
