Default Want to Fix power mirror

Ok...

Can't take the mirror vibrations anymore. Huge difference between the driver's and passenger's side.

Anyone got a fix? Should I just replace the motor? I've taken out the mirror and see how it attaches to the assembly. I don't care if I have to replace the motor if that's what it takes to secure the mirror to the whole assembly.

Anyone?

Yeah mine vibrates and makes some noise on bumps. Haven't taken it apart to figure out why yet. May do it this spring. May try some sound deadening or something.

I am also curious what does this, it is getting increasingly bad with age, and I can't take it anymore. Anyone have any suggestions??

What's ASM stand for? (Ahhh shoot myself)

I got a few part numbers from local dealer that I'll post up. One was the mirror motor. How the #%$% would you take the mirror out, take the motor out, put the motor on the new mirror, and reassemble? Mirror has to be out to tighten mirror motor torx screws!

WTF!!

Years ago on my 93 Z28 the drivers mirror vibrated and was crappy. I took it apart and one of the mounts that hold the assembly to the housing was broken. Epoxied it and no more vibration. Might be the problem for you guys. Ron

nah that's not the case with mine...

here's an update.......

I took some of that tacky black compound that holds the wiring harness to the door and placed it on the back of the mirror where it snaps into the motor.

So far so good!!
