Default Trip Odometer Q

The trip odometer in my car resets itself randomly about two weeks ago, so I just thought maybe I hit it accidently cleaning my car. Then it happened again a few days ago, so I thought huh thats odd So I reset it two days ago and it read 13.2 when i pulled into work this morning. Then tonite leaving work I was driving and out of nowhere it was set back to 0.0? WTF is going on here, anyone have any ideas/solutions? Has this happened to anyone else before or I am alone on this?

Yep, '99's will do that when battery voltage is low. The TSB is 99-08-49-009.

Thanks, also every once in a while when I turn the car on the speedo goes to 150 and rpm's climb to redline then drop back down. So do I just call a dealership and tell them my problem or go there?

It's a TSB, they're probably not going to fix it for free unless you have some sort of extended warranty. Check your battery connections/have it load tested first. The TSB doesn't mention the gauge sweep, but usually happens at the same time. http://home.earthlink.net/~cetera/pics/aug99tsb.jpg

Take your foot off the gas when you start the car.

I'm sorry. I would just call the dealership, if it's a TSB I'd imagine they should be able to rectify the problem.
