black specks on oil dipstick
I have another vehicle with a 350 new engine. First oil change went to Blackstone with nothing wrong. My next interval has black specks on the oil dipstick when I wipe it off to read it. What can this be? They are very small.

Are they magnetic? if so then its metal, is the engine running fine Temp? Oil psi? u have any pics of the dipstick?what did the rest of the oil in the pan look like when you drained it? have you cut open the filter to see if theirs anything in it?

Oil pressure is fine. They are too small to pick up in a picture. I only have 100 miles on this oil change. The last oil change had 300 miles on the new engine and Blackstone did not show any traces of anything wrong.

hmm it might just be some left over cam lube ore something it might have picked up if it still has good oil preasure and runs good i wouldnt wory about it to much just keep an eye on it.

Most of the specks just smeared out like grease. One of the pieces looked like metal very small. I have to take it in the the shop and leave it so I am going to tell him about it to see if he thinks it is anything. The engine only has like 300-400 miles on it. I already did one oil change.

well as expected new motors **** stuff for the first 500 miles (just little though) and if it smears around sounds like dirt or something maybe its in the tube?? i wouldnt worry just watch it close
