I just got a set of the E3 sparkplugs to evaluate for free , put them into my car Sunday morning(took me 90 minutes, a lot less than the first time), seemed to be a little smoother running than the NGK Tr55 Iridiums which were just getting near 30k miles on them - the NGK's still looked good though. Little SOTP improvement from what I could tell. Unusual looking plugs, kinda wonder about the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty - still old school and cannot see a set of plugs good for 100k(took originals out at 50k). Waiting to see how the gas mileage is with them

Ha ha ha that's pretty much what I was thinking. I'm having work done for me, and they're like "NGK" and I said nope, gotta be something else. Looks like AC Delco Iridium is IT.

I have a spark plug story. I bought a 95 camaro, so the first thing I did was change the plugs, just to get myself a little familiar with her. I pulled out these funky looking bosch plugs, and put in some Accel plugs with a groove in them. Started her up, and she ran like crap. I put the Bosch plugs back in, and it ran fine again. I took one to a parts store, the guy told me they were the Platinum + 4's. I bought a new set and put them in, and returned the accel's. He actually took them too, lol.

I've never bought another plug since. Every car I've put the Bosch Platinum + 4's into has show an extreme difference in Throttle response. I didn't even know that a plug could do that.

Now, I'm on my first LS1 tune up, and was thinking about putting in the same plugs. Yeah $7 apeice is a lot, but in my opinion, was well worth it in the other cars. I'm gonna put them in my 02 Trans Am today, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I ran Bosch platinums in my truck several years back. I figured I'd have problems with them when I saw how small the electrode was, but I installed them anyway since I had them and needed plugs. The damn things fouled on me within 5k miles.

If you dig around, others have had similar problems with Bosch plugs. Maybe the newer more expensive plugs made by them are better, but there are plenty of other options available that have been proven reliable.

Well I'm now sporting those Delco Iridiums, and they are fantastic. Not saying other plugs aren't good, but no problems here.

I just finished putting my Bosch Platinum +4's in, and she runs beautifully! I hope I don't have any problems, with them fouling prematurly, but bosch does put a performance gurantee on them, and so far, I am happy. She feels much better now that those stock plugs are out. Man were those boots a bitch to pull off though, but well worth it in my opinion. I will let you guys know, if I ever have a problem, but like I said, this isn't my first time using these plugs, I love them things.

I just installed NGK tr55's and my car is misfiring throwing a code -P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected ......im gonna check the wires and inspect each spark plug.

I ripped one of the wires when taking em off and i replaced it with another wire from a 2001 ss, mine being a 2002. It looks different from mine, can this be causing the problem?

bosch wires suck really bad... super high resistance and very inconsitant from wire to wire. The regular platinums foul reallly easily. The +4's cost way too much and give no benifit. If they did a supercar mfr. would be using them oem.

Some AC irridiums were made in Japan..they may all be made in the US now. They both work great since I got 4 us ones and 4 japs. The originals were still running great at 85k. The gap was a little wide, but not causing any problems. I can see going 100k before any misfires would show up, but you may loose some performance towards the end.

I have the NGK TR55s and they're great. I read that the TR55s are good for about 25,000 miles for optimum performance. I have about 18,000 miles on my TR55s and everything feels normal. How often do you guys change? Thx!
