what could it be?
what could it be? alright so today on the way to school my check engine light lit up on my wat to school and a few secs later my car started being weird.
so i park it at school and bring it to the shop when i get out. on the way there while driving to the shop it was fine until i hit 2.5k RPM. it started to sputter and felt like it was losing power.
its a bit over due on an oil change (by about 5-600 miles) but i dont abuse it when i'm driving. what could this be?
and right now the cars in the shop but they are checking to tomorrow to see whats wrong with it. i just dont wanna wait and i wanna see the insight of the ls1tech.com crowd.

Um well you could start by pulling the codes, as the light can mean about 500 different things............................................ .........................................

could it be a plug, coil pack or sprak plug cable?
When was the last time u changed the plugs? You didnt have white smoke or a funky burning smell. So i dont think it will be too bad. But i am a noob too.

Of course the easiest way to know, like Keliente said, is to pull the codes. Your problem could come from a number of factors: oxygen sensors, fuel pump/pressure issues, plugged injectors and so forth.
