Default Getting window all the way up

My window motor died and I'm going to be hopefully replacing it today or tomorrow, and I'm going to be following these guidlines, http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html , for my 01. But I have a quick question...

If I cant get it done in time (thunderstorm schedule for thursday), is there a way I can get my window up all the way in the mean time? I have the Haynes manual and it says you can disconnect the regulator to move the window up and down. Only problem it doesnt get into details (how to), only says how to R & R it.

Thanks.

You could always remove the motor by drilling out the rivets, then slide the motor out and push the window back up then slide the motor back in the regulators gear to hold the window in that position.

Well I have a new motor, so If thats what you gotta do might as well put in the new one. I was hoping be something simpler than that, cause the drill i got access to right now kinda sucks.

Well its not that I'm afraid it will take too long, its just the fact that the drill i have might not work (not powerful enough), and If it doesnt do that job be stuck in the rain thursday.
