Default Clacking noise

Ok, car was sitting in driveway for about 2 months without being started as it had an electrical problem. As soon as the car fired up, it was making a horrible clacking sound, like metal bouncing around on metal, sounded like it was coming from the engine. The car had been encased in ice and snow for a couple days. What could be causing the noise from the engine?? I shut it off immediately because i didn't want anything to get messed up with the internals. Any input greatly appreicated.
Car was running fine before it sat in the driveway for those 2 months.

Possibly condensation or moisture mixed in with the gas or just old gas?

Thanks,

simmeth

Probably just the gas. I remember driving my car after I first Seafoamed it and I had some pinging, I thought I had destroyed something in the valvetrain. Sounded like something was popping around in there loose. After all the of the Seafoam burned off it returned to normal. You're probably hearing something similar.

Possiably a bad piston slap situation, you should let it warm up and see if it starts to go away. When my car is cold (99 Ta) and i drive it a few min. after i started it. If i get near 2k it sounds kinda like a diesal(sp) motor.

my 99 Z does the same thing, when its first started it has a slight knock to it until it warms up then it goes away...idk if its normal or not but it doesn't burn oil and runs good
