went and test drove today
it appeared to be completely stock, no CAI or exhaust work or anything. and it felt pretty strong.
it had a real muscle car feel too it (kinda reminded me of when i first got behind the wheel of my 68 GTO)
anyway, when you guys are driving your cars, how tight should the steering be (it wasnt silky smooth, but it was firm and direct)? should you be able to feel the vibration of the LS1 through the steering wheel a bit? when i was cruising along at around 40, it sounded like the rear was whining a little bit too. the car is an M6 and i understand that the rear likes blowing up
i dont know if any of this is normal or if the car is ready to fall apart. on wednesday im gonna have the car inspected so i'll know for sure when i get the report back.
but help guys!!! i can pick up this car for cheap and the dealer is gonna throw in a full drivetrain warrenty for engine trans and rearend.
advise please
What kind of warranty are they giving you? Hopefully more than 30 days.
150k mi is a lot, but if the dealer will give you warranty then go for it, but be ready to start fixing up little things here and there after warranty expires.

its gonna be atleast a 1 year warrenty, i might negotiate him up to 2 years as he let it slip out that hes willing to give me 2 years. he said it covers all mechanical drive train problems.
i started the car for a bit, checked under the hood, checked around the car, sounded pretty good. after it was warm i looked under the hood again and heard sort of a bubbling sound comming from underneath the radiator cap. or from somewhere in that general area. im sure the mechanic will make note of that when he inspects it wednesday
my plan is to turn this car into a weekend circut racer, or just drive the **** out of it for the next two years and when my 68 GTO is ready to start being put back together, supe up and cannibalize the engine/trans and whatever other goodies i can and stick em in the gto.
