Default Lack of power or my imagination?

Bought an 01 WS6 M6.

The tires it had on it were pretty bald, it was extremely easy to spin the tires just by mashing on the throttle.

Got new tires on it, they have maybe 1500 miles on them, but it's extremely difficult to spin the tires just by mashing on the throttle at lower rpms, even in first gear. No problem if I launch the car at higher rpms and slip/dump the clutch.

Mods are in signature.

This is the first high powered car I've owned so I'm not positive on how it's supposed to react

Seafoamed the car about 1000 miles ago, recently got a P0420 code, had it scanned and then cleared and it hasn't came on since (driven about 80 miles since then)

P0420 = Catalyst below threshold driver side.

Thanks in advance.

Traction is a good thing. P0420 won't affect performance, but if it keeps coming back get it replaced under warranty.

It will if it's because the cat on that side is clogged

I have an bolt on A4 and I pretty much dead hook on launch with my nitto's and it feels pretty slow because it bogs. But from a 30 or 50 roll the car moves out!

i can brake traction anywhere in 1st gear. i have an auto and if i keep it in first or it downshifts in first im not going to get any traction in first and i have wider 265 on the back than the normal 245s. i do have 3 mods. but a m6 and being able to control rpms better i would say you should be able to break tracion rather easy ESP in first.

mabe try and take the car to a track see what it runs.

Thought I read where there was a recall on the cats on our cars 5 years or I believe 120K miles? Might want to look into that recall just to see!

I got an a4 with 2.73's and brand new bfg's and mine breaks them off easily. The rear end squats down and it just fishtails from side to side until they hook completely.
