problem with temp gauge and cooling fans I have a 2001 V6 firebird. Ok, so the problem is that for some unknown reason I have my temp gauge showing nothing, arrow doesn't move at all, although the engine runs for some time and should have reach certain temperature. I noticed that when this happens, the cooling fans are working at full power and all the time, even when you start the cold engine. As I understand there are two different temp sensors, one for gauge and other for PCM, so there should be no relation between them. Sometimes temp gauge starts again showing the temperature and the problem with fans dissapears. This happened already for couple times. My guess that maybe bad connections or something got wrong due to vibration. Sometimes I have to do trips on bad roads, gravel etc. But maybe it's just coincidence.
