Default Car tries to die when I hit the gas?

Well I have this really weird problem thats been happening the past few weeks. When I drive my car after its been sitting for a few hours or more, for a minute or so after I start it, when I hit the gas it seems like it cuts all gas OFF. Like if I press the pedal, the engine just drops out, and if I release it it sputters back up to normal idle or whatever. If I keep holding the gas in, it will just die. It only seems to do this around 2-3k RPM or so, but it does it every time I start the car here lately. It's really annoying and worrying me, but I have no idea what could cause this. After the car has ran for like a minute or sometimes less, it then runs fine. I'm really confused so if anyone has suggestions or something, let me know!

I thought about that, but like I said it runs fine after a few seconds on the gas, would a filter or pump still cause that?

try a filter first a clogged fuel filter will cause a car to run rough and stall will cause a pump to burn out id try a filter and see what happens

Filter, pump...could even be bad gas.
