PLugging the heater core feed/return lines?
PLugging the heater core feed/return lines? I am building a kit car that uses an LS6 for a powerplant. I am not going to be running a heater, hence no heater core.
On the water pump is an outlet going to the heater core, then to the surge tank. Then there is a line running from the surge tank back to the inlet on the waterpump.
I am considering plugging both the inlet and outlet on the side of the waterpump (for the heater core flow). A few folks told me I might have problems purging air from the system if I do this.
Thoughts? Has anyone sucessfully done this or should I not be doing it?

I dont know if you want to do this but you can use the lines like normal but get a bypass kit from a auto parts store thats for allowing the coolant to flow through like normal but wont interact with the heater core, when mine went on the LT1 car, I used that while a waited for a new one.
