Compressor My AC hasn't worked in a couple of years. Well i can't take it anymore with the Florida heat and when a compressor goes bad doesn't it start to leak? Also what the best way to see if its leaking?

Damn a couple years? Around here soon as it starts getting warm all the auto parts/tire stores put up "free AC check" on their signs. I'm sure all they probably do is put gauges on it, but at least you'd know if it was a referigerant issue.

where have you seen that? Also i know theres no freon in it it leaks it out but i am having a hard time finding the leak. I put the dye stuff in but haven't found any yet. Gonna retry it though
