Default Squeaking spare tire, tips to shut it up?

Well last year I messed around with my spare tire for my nitrous stuff. Now I can't get the damn thing to stop squeaking! I've tightened it down really tight but nothing seems to help. Anyone have any tips?

I cant say this is a good tip,but i took mine out completely.Think about a battery relocation kit in the place of the tire or nitrous in the passenger side, over the wheel well.

Can't take the spare out, this car is my DD in the summer and I put about 8k miles on it a year. Plus I sold all the nitrous stuff, thanks for the comment.

Buy roadside assistance with tire repair. Then you can ditch it! lol

Do you have any idea where the squeaking is coming from? I would wd-40 everything. Check to see if that did anything. If its from the rubber, find the point of contact and put a piece of material such as cardboard between the friction point.

place a shop rag under the tire and also one on the bolt holding it down...just tighten the bolt around the shop rag and it should help things out

Dont know about you but my jack that came with the car wont even raise it high enough to get the tire off to put a spare on, so no spare or jack for me. But if you want to keep it in, ive used to shop rag method in my other car and it worked.

WD-40 everything is retarded... I cant believe that was a response. staringback has just as a good idea as anyone. You just have to pad it a little bit.

Thanks everyone, I'll try the shop towel method and tell the results in a few days!
