Bad horn or relay???

Bad horn or relay??? My horn only makes a very faint squaking and clicking noise when I push it. Does that sound like a bad horn or something else? It used to work about a year ago. THANKS
A signal makes it to the horns, so they are probably both bad. You can pull them and direct 12v to them if you want to be sure.
I just replaced my low frequency horn last weekend, autozone ones were not plug and play, contrary to what I've read here. On my 2000 at least, they were all GM connectors, both to the main harness and at both horns.
So if you want the easiest path you should order factory horns. It's one bolt and a GM connector - you get to them by the passenger side access panel from the bottom.

the horn itself has a screw on it. turning the screw will change the sound of the horn. you will have to experiment with turning it in/out and seeing if it gets better or worse. easiest to remove the horn and test it with a jumper wire to the battery.
