I've been told countless times that I do not need to remove the plastic interior door panels to properly get to the screws needed in removing my side mirrors, but this has got to be a lie.

I just want to know once and for all: Do I or do I not have to remove my interior door panel in order to remove my mirrors? And I mean the entire unit, not just the reflective mirror itself.

 

I think it's just the little triangular plastic piece if i remember right. Its been a while since I had to do one, but I think you can get to everything that way.

 

I know there is for sure 1 bolt in the center of the triangle plastic piece holding it onto the door, but I dont know for sure if there is anymore under the actual door panel.

 

I replaced one on my WS6 and I don't 'think' I had to touch the door panel. It's been like 2 yrs though, and I've slept since then .

 

Well I know that the triangular piece comes off and reveals the screws I need but it looks like two are kind of wedged pretty tight near the door panel. Looks like I'll have to give it another go - thanks!
