Fuel Filter
Fuel Filter How easy is it to change your fuel filter? I just bought an 02 Camaro recently and you really never know when the last time the previous owner changed out everything. The car has 44,000 miles, is my car past due for a fuel filter or how often does it need to be changed?
On a side note, I'm going to change the oil over to the GC 0w30. Never really used synthetic oil before in my cars. Do you still change every 3,000 miles?

on synthetics you can still chanfe it every 3k if you want.i still do just for state of mind.but the companys always say like 7k to mobil 1's 15k miles.its up to you. the fuel filter is cake man.just take out the key take off the gas cap and have some shop rags handy.it on the driver rear side. after you change it and its all tight and stuff put the cap back on prime the system and give it a lil gas to see if its leaking and your good 
I change my Fuel filter yearly. Its really easy to change (especially if you change it yearly) and all it takes is one tank of gas that has been contimanited to clog that and cause problems. I'd rather be safe and spend the whole 10 mins to change it.

I change fuel filters every 10-15k miles in all my cars. It's pretty easy on these cars. One end is a quick disconnect style, the other end is threaded and requires 16mm and 20mm wrenches.

www.installuniversity.com Takes 15 min to change the fuel filter. As for oil I still change the synthetic every 3K.
Make sure you wear eye protection as well, you don't want fuel or rust getting into your eyes, that will ruin your day in a hurry.
If the car has been driven recently the fuel line may still be under pressure so it's best to leave it sit about an hour before changing it. If you can't wait there is a schrader valve on the end of the fuel rail on the drivers side that you can use to relieve the pressure. Just unscrew the cap, put some rags under it and push in the valve with a flat head screwdriver. It only takes 30 seconds. I always do this anyway but if the car is sitting awhile nothing much really comes out.

I wont comment on the fuel fitler as everyone has already answered it.
I will though say you are throwing your money out the window if you are running Synthetic and changing it every 3k miles. I have done 5k on mine since new with no issues.
There are too many people that have done the Blackstone labs testing on oil and posted results and even at 5k miles most of todays oil and synthetics are still good to go at 5k miles.
I do mine every 5k miles and the fuel filter once a year.

The fuel filter is easy, just a little drippy. Rags are mandatory. Release pressure by taking gas cap off and putting back on.
Oil change intervals for GC are dependent upon your mileage and habits. If it's a daily driver or you put 10k+ miles per year you can change every 5k miles easily. If you don't do 7k miles per year you could change it yearly. If you hardly ever drive it you could change it yearly. GC is an outstanding oil, and will protect much better than dino. 3k miles on GC is hardly even breaking a sweat with it.
