I've used K&N's for years & used to swear by them. Put em on every vehicle I owned & recommended them to all my friends. Have gone thru all the hassles of cleaning them , the whole ball of wax . Now after about 10,000 miles I decided to pull mine out & check it. Could only see through half the panel then I looked at my mass air screen protector. the damn thing was FULL of grass & debris. That's when I threw the K&N in the trash & replaced it with a cheap purolator paper air filter & guess what. My mileage also picked up a bunch. Used to struggle to get 240 miles per tank in town ,now I'm getting over 260 & thats with several top end blast & quarter mile runs. I'm sold.

Any horse power gain is usually gonna be nullified by the satuation of the mass air wire & assy with oil . So why take the chance , lets see now ( $10.95 as apposed to $59.95 ) and it takes a hell of a lot longer to clean that bitch than it does to just plop in a new paper filter . A slam dunk no brainer .

Ive never had a prob with my K&N's. On a N/A car gains really arent there. On a charged or turbo car is where you see a gain.
