Default Low Fuel Light = No A/C?

A friend of mine mentioned today that his A/C compressor wouldn't kick on after his low fuel light came on.

Is that normal? or should he be looking into getting his A/C repaired?

I'd think they'd be separate systems on any car - if after refueling and the compressor won't come on I'd suspect an AC issue.

2004 GTO with an LS6 swap....of course, has has a 224R cam and PRC heads now, so its not much more of an LS6 than any other cam/heads GTO at this point.

I'd think that too, but if the PCM can kick off the A/C Compressor at WOT, I could see it doing something similar if the car was critically low on fuel.

That's why I was curious.
