Default Headlight motors interchangable?

Can I use the one from the passenger side on the driver side? I'm thinking no, but my passenger one stop working all together, it used to stick up and down and i would have to turn the headlights on and off a bunch of times to get it to come down or up but now its doing nothing. I have an extra one but its from the drivers side. Thanks

No they are side specific. Have you checked the harness for that headlight for corrosion?

Its all good. Better to have minor problems on a hot car then a Ford or a wretched import(Evos excluded)

Have you tried the free fix? Disconnect the headlight arm from the motor and rotate the motor output shaft 180 degrees and replace the headlight arm. This should work.

CHECK FUSE. There is a seperate fuse for each side under the hood.

That could be because the threads are stripped. If the fuses are good it should work. You can also disconnect the leads and check the circuit with a volt meter when you flip the switch.

Just try the free fix it only takes 5 minutes to do. It would eliminate stripped threads as a possiblity. The volt meter would eliminate the circuit. This would leave the motor. I would go to a junk yard or e-bay for a replacement. Good luck with this.
