Removal of AC

Removal of AC I just wanted to know what needs to be done and if any parts are needed for the removal of my ac. My compressor is junk and is LOUD as hell when at idle, 
and I never use my AC because I only hav 3 months of heat and t-tops are fine for me. Any help is great

Any help is great If its an LS1 all you have to do is just unbolt it all and take it all out.. simple as that. there is noting needed because the AC is on a separate belt and shares nothing with any other accessories on the car. Plus you will drop a bunch of weight off the nose and lighter front end means easier weight transfer on the launch!
be sure to depressurize the system first!!! just take off the cap from the valve on the low pressure side (the larger valve of the two, towards the front) and hit it with a screwdriver or somethin, but wear gloves and watch your eyes and skin!!!!
Ohh yeah.. I forgot about that. Good catch. I took my AC all out because the system had a leak and the compressor clutch sounded horrid so I had no pressure in the system already.

yeah his probably is bone dry too but it's better to be safe.
They say it isn't toxic, but they planned a phaseout date. hmmm.
R152A probably won't be any different though.

Yea it sounds terrible and I also thought it would give my engine bay alot more room to do other things.
I dont mind the heat as much as the cold so im good without the ac. Thanks for all the help guys
