Clunking noise at Deceleration

Clunking noise at Deceleration I have a 2002 Z28 with a 2500 stall. Every time I let off the gas I hear this clunking noise coming from around the transmission area. It may be trans, may be driveshaft, may be somethin else. I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem. Although, I couldn't drive it after it started clunking.
In the past day I've taken apart the entire rear end. I found the problem was because the bolt that holds the pinion to the u-joint got loose and the pinion gear started to run into the posi housing inside the differential...
If I were you I would get under your car and wiggle the driveshaft to see if there is any play. Also, look for any oil leaks or anything out or the ordinary. If you don't find anything, open the differential by removing the back plate (10 bolts or so depending..). Good luck

*EDIT* I noticed my Torque Arm mount near the trans is split at the bottom. Is this normal or should it be connected?

well i remember my tranny guy gave me a speical type of sticky grease to put on the driveshaft yoke on my other car when i was installing the tranny i know if you dont use this grease u will get clunking noises but the output shaft and yoke gets lubercated by trans fluid as well unless your pump seal in your tranny is craping
