Default Car wont crank, need ideas...

A little background... My 02 WS6 has been sitting without a motor for 2 years thanks to those crooks FFHP. I finally got the desire to put it back together over the past few weeks. Got everything all buttoned up and go to start her... car powers up, but no cranking from the starter, nothing. Then noticed my gauges swooped back to zero, and started jumping a tad.. I just figured the new battery i bought last year went dead before i could use it. So I throw in my battery from my truck just to test it, and I get nothing. Poke around for a few mins, and throw the battery back in my truck... now my truck wont start! What can kill a perfectly good battery in a matter of 5-10 minutes?

I'm totally lost here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about the draw, but I do know that those three ground wires on the back of the driver's side head can cause problems with cranking and, I think, gauges. Check those wires and make sure you didn't break one of 'em. Sorry I can't be of more help... Good luck...

do you at least have a voltmeter to see how many volts the battery has.
