Default Won some Oil, Okay to use in an ls1? 5w-50 castrol syntec

well i know ls1's like thicker oil, and i currently run the german castrol 0-30, has been good to me so far. i recently won an event at my local drag strip, and i won 3 gallons of Castrol Syntec 5w-50.

now its pretty thick, but i remember reading that if running mobil 1, run there 45 or 50 weight. so i dont know. this oil any good?

would it be okay to run? how would it negatively effect my motor?

i was just reading and found someone saying that they mix german castrol 0-30 and the syntec 5w-50.

would that quiet up the lifters a bit when cold? i dont wanna just throw out this oil, i would like to find some kind of a use for it.

I just bought this today because I wanted a heavy weight oil for film...saw 5w-50 and thought it would be great with my turbo setup. I have ran Amsoil 0w-40, Mobil 1 15w-5, and Mobil 1 5w-30.

5w-50 would appear to be a perfect performance oil.
