REALLY need some help, FAST

Ok so I had to drive my friends Lexus IS300 last night and before I took it out he said the key/ignition was acting funny so ok, had to drive it anyway.
When I stopped and took it out it didnt just turn back and come out, i sort of had to yank a bit.

When I tried to go back to start it up, the key would NOT turn to start, it was stuck on accessory and not lock. How the hell can I get it to turn now?? the key does nothing when I put it inside the ignition.

No It can be moved, I dont know why the hell it isnt turning. You figure if you turn it one way you can the other, but no, any other morning crew that can help??

Sounds like the Mechs. of it are shot. prolly not much to do except take it in.

Had to get it towed and taken to the dealer, probably going to get ripped a new a$$hole in price. ugh.

yo if its new It wont cost a dime, unless of course he wants to tax you. Lexus has the best service out there. Ive have five of them and they very rarely break.

Its not, friend got it used w/ like 80k miles.. We are getting a locksmith to rebuild the ignition for 250.. the dealer wanted 1100$ to repair it.
Screw that.
