Default Clunk while shifting

My friends 02 ws6 did it a little worse so I don't think it is abnormal. It really clunks when shifting under WOT. I guess the only way to help fix this is to get a better PHB and Torque Arm? I already have LCAs and weld in subframes.

Have you checked your transmission mount or torque arm mount yet?

You may want to check your torque arm mount as well. A clunking sound is not normal something is not right.

my car used to do that. when i dropped the brace for the transmission mount the bottom half of the mount came with it, lol. so i guess i'd check that first.

+1 On the tranny mount. I've gone through a couple already - exactly the same...WOT, clunk when shifting. They're $20 at any auto store and take 20 minutes to install.

The stock mount is fine unless you are making some serious power. The poly mount is defiantly stronger and probably will last longer but comes with a price, increased vibration.
