Default BACK FIRES Shifting Gears ?

I have a 01 SS 6M and my problem is when drivining the car shifting thruogh gears, I get popping noises every time I shiftt and this is normal driving, My car is stock other than GMMG Exhaust and Lid, What do you all think it is ?

The exhaust....The GMMG has no real mufflers, it is straight through. So you will get some popping....

this is my third exhaust and all the others did the same, the others were the loudmouth and the slp catback. I'm thiking it might be the sparkplugs and wiring.

so that's what that loud clunk is? sometimes it feels as though my tranny is shifting hard and sometimes soft and smooth. or is that just the backfire of the exhaust making that loud clunk? this has always been going on and my car drives fine. i have an x-pipe with bullet mufflers dumped.
