Cleaning off radiator?
And for most guys, it's cleaning off the condensor, not the radiator itself. 
, you can use an old toothbrush too, kinda tedious but it works. Just make sure you dont bend the fins and its all good.

is there a write-up somewhere on how to remove the radiator to clean it? i'm sure it's a few bolts and it slides right out, but where do i begin? i don't want to end up doing more work than i have to and end up breaking something.

I made a sprayer out of copper pipe that I slightly flattened to get behind the condensor.
Use foaming degreaser in the fins, and spray from the back side to the front, too.
Lots of tiny rocks came out, and tons of dirt.
