LS1 Oil leaks

LS1 Oil leaks I have a 99 B4C A4, it seems to bee leaking oil from the oil pan gasket. I have been under the car looking and it seems to be dry all over above the oil pan, and wet EVERYWHERE below. Front to back and both sides. Does anyone know if the oil pan be removed and the gasket replaced with the engine in the car? Has anybody ever tried this? All the bolts are accessible, It just looks like there may not be enough room to swing the pan down and clear the sump and the bell housing. Any Ideas?

No I havent, I want to just pull the motor/trans, and rebuild em this winter, I just dont know if Ill have the $$. I at least want to put on a new oil pump, timing set and cam. But my tranny is a bit loose. I'd really like to go through it.
