Default Driver's side light keeps going out, symptoms?

My drivers side low beam light will turn off shortly after I turn the lights on. It will turn back on if I go over a bump hard enough, as though something is loose and not connecting right. I double checked the connections and can't figure it out. What is usually wrong when a light intermittently keeps going out? Even after replacing the bulb and cleaning the connections?
