Default Newbie with a problem

Hey well this morning I noticed my Z is acting strange. So I'm going to try to explain this as best as possible. Yesterday I did a some "spirited driving" on the highway with a GTO and had no problems car ran great. This morning I got in her to go to work, she started up fine and was driving fine, untill I was on the highway and I noticed that when I was in cruise or coasting and would hit the throttle there was a little hesitation and then you could feel the car accelerate, there were no noises. I did notice it after I got of the highway also. Now as far as the modifications I have done on my car the go as follows, FRA, 3.73 gears, superchips programmer, sea foam about 2 months ago (in which I have gotten oil changed after 200 miles of doing it). I have not done the fuel filter. Now I have the shift pressure all the way to the max on the programmer, but it doesn't seem like a tranny issue, I'm kinda stumped, and want to diagnose this early so it doesn't get worse. Let's just check the basics - change your fuel filter. How about your plugs and wires? My old car had some bad hesitation until I changed plugs/wires (and distributor cap but these cars don't have those). It just randomly showed up one day and then got worse until I changed them.

Yeah I've been debating doing the plugs and wires, I've been looking at headers and was going to tackle them if I got the headers, but I might as well just do em. I'm going to need alot of beer.

Maybe the fuel filter is clogged , changed it or the MAF sensor is dirty , clean it with some MAF sensor cleaner about $6 at auto stores. if that doesn't help take the car to auto store have them check it for codes.

Personally I wouldn't want to be tipsy when working on the car, just doesn't seem like a good idea. Don't want to make any mistakes, even for something simple as plugs.

How old are the plugs btw?

I bought the car about 4 months ago and have no idea how old they are, but I did sea foam the gas tank, oil and throttle body so I'm hoping that its just the plugs and possibly fuel filter. With the programmer I changed the shift pressure up to max but it doesn't feel like a tranny issue.

I dunno, Mr Budweiser kept me company doing my girls cam install.

Fuel filter would be the next thing I would tackle. All you need is a 5/8 or 16mm wrench and a 13/16 or 20mm wrench. Takes me about 30 seconds to change an F body fuel filter. Spark plugs are very easy if you have the a/c removed

Yeah, I'm not looking on removing my A/C. Just going to have to do it the hard way, with my friend Bud.

try the throttle body sensor or speed sensor. maybe even the cam or crank sensor??
