average price for head swap??

Default average price for head swap??
got a blown head gasket. the shop I usually work with wants around $850 in labor alone. does this seem right? just trying to find out if they are screwin me.

ouch, 850 for a head swap? Id do it myself, its not very hard to do.

well it seems like $850 is pretty steep. I wouldnt think it would run that high just for a head swap. Remember thats just labor.
