I am having a similar symptoms that include pulsating headlights. I noticed that when it is cold out weather wise my car will read more volts upon initial start. I think this just means we need a new serpentine belt. Perhaps it is stretched out and when it is cold it will contract a little bit. Not sure. I am going to slap in a new belt. If it is a fix I will post up for ya and let you know.
