Dying SS Help Me Got A 96' SS M6. Its choking out and dying. Once started It runs for about 5 min. then dies. Wont start back right away. Apon trying a loud grinding noise and sometimes a puff of white smoke from under the hood and the smell of raw fuel. It also dies while driving at normal speeds. less frequently while goung faster. when it happens there is no throttle respond, the rpms decrease until it dyings or restarts itself. Sometimes it makes a backfire through exhaust and returns to normal. It gradually got worse not all at once. As the problem started i had the fuel pressure checked.
New Parts: CPU under hood passengerside, optispark TWICE, Plugs n wires, fuel filter on rail, crank sensor, upstream O2 sensor, coil checked. Any thoughts are helpful.

Once the fuel pump starts going, those are the classic systems you stated. It sucks throwing money around trying to find a problem.
Question: After running the car for the 5 minutes and dies, and you go to restart do you hear the fuel pump?
I'm just trying to think of things you can do/check before spending any $$.
