Default This stuff rocks!

I wanted to share a good experience using this MotorSilk engine additive. I did a lot of research (it's not related to that garbage PTFE teflon additive crap) and treated my car. 1K miles later, I have to say:

-A few PSI more oil pressure
-2 MPG better fuel economy
-Oil filters look fine after being in the car 2-4K miles
-Little noises I used to hear are now gone (valvetrain, cold start, etc.).

Here is the website to a vendor: http://209.200.118.63/Technology.cfm
and a link to the manufacturer's website: http://www.altboron.com/products/

I found a tech sheet on the stuff: http://www.altboron.com/products/pdf..._rev200609.pdf
and the MSDS: http://www.altboron.com/products/pdf/msds_ms.pdf
and a paper I found explaining the technologies involved: http://209.200.118.63/resources/WInn...ion%20PDF3.pdf

Has anyone else besides me tried this stuff, or have any comments?

No one has tried this stuff? I suggest some of you do because I think it would be great for our (especially high-mileage) F-bodies. I found this stuff and figured you guys might like it. I know some of you might cry "it's snake oil!" but usually i'm skeptical about products like this, and I thinks it's the real deal.

I've never heard any good coming from additives.

If it will really reduce the loud LS1 engine knock/piston slap at start-up I might try it.

that's pretty interesting stuff. I might have to try this myself. If it really does add to the fuel economy and wear/tear the 35 bucks a bottle will pay for itself after time.

zmax sucks, engine additives are a waste of money. the only good things to put in with your oil are 1. seafoam to clean it and 2. autorx to clean it.

Two years ago, I would of whole-heartedly agreed with you. However, the word "additive" gives this stuff a bad name, since it conjures up recollections of the crappy teflon additives foisted upon the public over the years. I wouldn't recommend this stuff to you guys if it didn't work.
