Ive been dealing with EVAP codes for awhile.. I replaced the valve and the solenoid, and like a month later another EVAP code popped up. I think its P0442, so im gonna buy a new gas cap shortly to see if that helps

happened to me. I have been having issues with the engine sputtering once it's warm, anywhere after 2krpm. No coding whatsoever.
I changed lots of stuff to make it go away, has not worked yet.
anyway, I got the p0442 code as well, I changed the gas cap first...no deal.
went to my mechanic who had a smoker, found the culprit, some kind of valve located above the gas tank. I watched the smoke come out of the rear end too.
Anyway, exhaust had to be cut and tank had to be dropped in order to get to this ******* thing.
P0442 now gone, so that's a good thing.

Ugh! I got that stupid code on my wife's Neon. I haven't bothered to mess with it other than replace the gas cap. Of course that did not work. Which doesn't surprise me because Neon's suck, lol. And so does the EPA or whoever decided to put this bullshit onto cars.
