what is this and how do i fix it???

There is a "T" missing/broken in this little plastic line. I believe it to be part of the heating/ac system. But i cant be sure any help in appreciated.

new trip to the dealer if im correct its a part of the e vac system

mines got the same problem except the bottom hook is still on, the top one is broken off though, and yes it is part of the EVAC system i think

i know my dad will try to switch from defrost to heater and the vents won't switch over. How much you think it will cost??

If you still have the tee just use some epoxy to put it back on or some vacume hose and a vacume tee from auto zone

That is a one-way valve for the vacuum lines in the dashboard. All of the HVAC mix and mode doors are controlled by vacuum, and there are some vacuum reserviors under the dashboard. Vacuum is drawn in through that connection and retained in the reserviors so you can change HVAC modes and temps. The one-way is there so the engine doesn't draw the vacuum away from the HVAC system. Probably an easily obtained part from the dealer.
